Dear Sir/Madam

I would hereby like to file a complaint regarding one of your authorized Yanmar dealers.

It is now approximately two weeks ago when I politely contacted the local Yanmar Dealer, Grønlands Bådcenter, here in Nuuk, Greenland, to ask if I could book a time for their mechanic to go through my new Yanmar Marine Diesel engine - it's first checkup. But no such thing was possible.

First of all, it was not possible because the only Yanmar mechanic that they have is employed somewhere else, and he does his Yanmar work after he has finished his regular job. Therefore no booking available.

Second, I asked if they could have the busy mechanic call me, whenever he had time, so that I could get the engine checked. This I have been waiting for since.

As I am leaving tomorrow afternoon for a relative long boattrip to Southgreenland I have since yesterday had my secretary try to get in contact with the mechanic, through the authorized dealer, but there they do not even want to mention his name, and everyone incl. the owner of the place have been extremely impolite and not serviceminded at all.

Third, one of the mains reasons, for all this unnecessary trouble seems to be the fact that I have bought my boat, a Flipper 787, at another boatdealer - and thereby not buying one of the boat brands (Saga, Hansvik etc.) That Grønlands Bådcenter sells. It seems very unfortunate, that people with Yanmar engines should be subject of discrimination, based on the brand of boat that they have purchased.

As this has reached a point of ridicule, and because I am not the only one who has been subject to this kind of treatment, from your authorized Yanmar dealer, I think it is important that you include this in your future considerations. I think it is important that you are aware, that the present situation, does not advance sales in Nuuk, Greenland. I think it would be wise, to have at least another dealer here in Nuuk. At least it would be beneficial if Yanmar had an authorized dealer with some full-time employed mechanics.
